Little Miss AKA Youth Enrichment Program

The Little Miss AKA Youth Enrichment Program is designed to provide young girls with invaluable educational and cultural experiences while enjoying activities and workshops.  Workshops offered include

  • Etiquette and Social Graces

  • Managing Peer Pressure

  • Health, Wellness and Fitness Education

  • STEM Enrichment

  • Financial Management and Literacy

  • Helping Others Through Domestic and International Community Service

Kozy Kerchief ™ and Kozy Kaps™

These community-wide engagement programs allow all ages to come together to create kerchiefs and caps for those undergoing cancer treatments.  Kerchiefs and caps are delivered to cancer patients in Northern Virginia and across the country.

Annual Book Signing & Scholarship Luncheon

The Annual Book Signing and Scholarship Luncheon features internationally acclaimed best-selling authors who read and participate in a facilitated discussion about their work.  The luncheon serves as the official scholarship announcement and awards ceremony in collaboration with the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Lambda Kappa Omega Chapter.

Relay for Life: The Walking Ivies

In partnership with the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Lambda Kappa Omega chapter, ECF supports the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life.  Relay for Life is a community-based engagement and fundraising event for the American Cancer Society and many other Cancer-related institutions, societies and associations.  Annually, the LKO team, The Walking Ivies, participate in Relay for Life.  Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Walking Ivies intend to walk and fundraise virtually in 2021.  Use the link below to donate to the Walking Ivies.

Snack Pack Program

The ECF Snack Pack Program (SPP) partners with the Volunteer Fairfax and Food for Others - Power Pack Program (P3) to provide weekend food to students who have been identified as having a need for food assistance in the Fairfax County public elementary schools. In 2020, during the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service, the SPP & P3 volunteers packed more than 1500 packages of non-perishable foods and drinks that were provided to the P3 program to be distributed to elementary schools within the Fairfax County school system.
