  • Taylor’s academic success continued through college, and she ultimately graduated from The University of California, Davis, earning a B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in 2019.

  • At UC Davis, Taylor graduated in the top 2% of the College of Biological Sciences and was the only African American to be awarded a prestigious citation for “Outstanding Academic Achievement” by The College in the Class of 2019.

"I plan to pursue general surgery to one day become a pediatric surgeon. Because I am passionate about ensuring children’s well-being, I feel it is where I can do the most good. I was raised to believe in the Sunday School phrase, “A child saved is a soul saved plus a life.” Becoming a pediatric surgeon will place me in a position to add tremendous value to children’s lives by providing quality medicine and community-wide care."
