Cooking for a Cure
with Chef Daniel Thomas
October 2, 2021

Cooking for a Cure
Breast cancer affects more women than any other type of cancer and is the leading cause of cancer-related deaths among women. African American women face both disproportionate exposures to breast carcinogens and the highest risk of serious health impacts from the disease.
Cooking for a Cure with Chef Daniel Thomas features an educational interactive healthy cooking class and discussion while raising funds to support ECF’s health initiatives. Cooking for a Cure provides educational information and resources to help women prevent cancer and provides comfort, care, and resources to those affected by cancer. During the interactive session, Chef Thomas will demonstrate and share information on healthy meal preparation. Working with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Lambda Kappa Omega Chapter, ECF wants to help women, particularly African American women, live healthy and vibrant lifestyles.
